Due to the recent spread of the new Omicron COVID variant, the government has decided to tighten the travel measures. As of 01.12.2021, all the travelers from third countries, Schengen countries in the red category, or countries considered at high risk of Omicron COVID variant must fill in the traveler’s questionnaire if it is mandatory to undergo the quarantine. The traveler’s questionnaire must be submitted within three days before entering Estonia.
The following countries are considered as at high risk for the Omicron COVID variant and are subject to a 10-day quarantine:

Travelers who have been vaccinated or have recovered from COVID-19 are not subject to quarantine obligations if they take the SARS-CoV-2 RT-PCR test immediately upon arrival in Estonia and the test result is negative.
Unvaccinated persons may shorten the 10-day self-isolation period if they take a SARS-CoV-2 test with a negative result immediately upon arrival in Estonia and take a second SARS-CoV-2 RT-PCR test no earlier than on the sixth day after the first one and the result of the second test is also negative.↸
