Current travel situation

 

EU, the Schengen Area, the UK, Andorra, Monaco, San Marino, and the Vatican

Individuals from the following countries can enter Estonia without any further measures: 

  • Holy See

  • Romania

 

Travelers from the following countries, who are not vaccinated, or have not been infected before, must either be tested at the border or show a negative test certificate or test when crossing the border:

  • None

 

Travelers from the following countries, who are not vaccinated or have not been infected before, must undergo seven days of self-quarantine. The self-quarantine can be shortened if a second test is done not earlier than the sixth day after the first test. Additionally, a negative rest certificate or rest at the border is required when crossing the border:

  • Croatia

  • Czechia

  • Denmark

Third countries in Annex 1 recommended by the EU

Unvaccinated or uninfected travelers from the following countries and territories are allowed to enter Estonia for tourism reasons without further restrictions:

 

  • Indonesia

  • New Zealand

  • Saudi Arabia

  • Taiwan

 

Unvaccinated/uninfected travelers from the following countries can enter Estonia for tourism but must undergo a 7-day quarantine. Entry into Estonia is allowed with a negative test certificate or testing upon entering the country.

 

  • Argentina 

  • Australia

  • Canada 

  • Chile

  • Qatar

  • South Korea 

  • Uruguay  

 

Travelers from all other countries are only allowed to travel for study, work, family reasons, or under a special permit. Vaccinated travelers can enter Estonia with no further measures. Travelers who have been previously infected with COVID-19 must show a negative test certificate when crossing the border. Unvaccinated or have not been infected, travelers must show a negative test certificate and undergo seven days of self-isolation.
