As of 26 July 2021, travellers from all countries who can show a completed and recognised certificate of Covid-19 vaccine are allowed to enter Finland.

A certificate of recovery from Covid-19 is accepted as an acceptable justification for entry into Finland only for citizens or residents of the EU and Schengen countries.

Based on the epidemiological assessment, there are certain changes for the internal and external border control:

Internal border control

The internal border control between Finland and Malta, between Finland and Slovenia, will be reinstated.

External border control

As of 19 July 2021, external entry restrictions will be lifted for citizens of Canada travelling from Canada.

The restriction will be reinstated for citizens of Israel travelling from Israel to Finland.
