People traveling to Ireland from certain designated countries are subject to mandatory hotel quarantine. The hotel must be pre-booked before travel. The Minister of Health updates the designated countries frequently, and the following countries are considered as designated countries for mandatory hotel quarantine from 9 August 2021:
