The Italian government passed the new Ordinance on 28 August 2021 to adjust the Covid-19 measures in Italy: 

 

  • People who have stayed or passed through in the last 14 days in Canada, Japan, and the USA must provide a negative PCR or antigen test result taken within 72 hours before entering Italy.

  • People who have stayed in the last 14 days in India, Bangladesh, or Sri Lanka, as long as they do not have symptoms, are allowed to enter Italy for study purposes. The following rules must be followed:

  • Present Passenger Locator Form

  • A negative PCR or antigen test result taken within 72 hours before entering Italy is necessary.

  • Upon arrival in Italy, they need to undergo a molecular test or antigen test.

  • Self-quarantine for ten days

  • Carry out a further molecular test or antigen test at the end of the ten day self-quarantine

 

  • People who have stayed or transited in the last 14 days in Brazil are allowed to enter Italy for study purposes as long as they do not have Covid-19 symptoms.

 

The new measures take effect from 31 August 2021 and up to 25 October 2021.
