Due to the current high daily increase rate of Covid-19 cases and the new mutation of the Coronavirus Omicron, the government has decided to tighten the travel quarantine rules.
Flight ban on high-risk countries
From 30 November to 13 December, there is a flight ban on the following high-risk countries:

Botswana

Eswatini
-
Lesotho
-
Mozambique
-
Namibia
-
South Africa
People returning from the countries above must undergo a 14-day quarantine. This obligation does not apply to fully vaccinated people who hold the EU digital COVID certification.
Extended quarantine for travelers from non-Schengen countries
The 14-days quarantine is reintroduced to all travelers coming from non-Schengen countries from 1 December to 17 December. A release from quarantine will be possible in the case of a negative result of the PCR test, which was performed eight days after the date of crossing the border. Quarantine does not apply to fully vaccinated people who have the EU digital COVID certification.
