The French government is tightening some restrictions due to the rising cases, especially due to the increase of the virus variant. The government has decided to make vaccinations compulsory for all people in contact with vulnerable people and working in the healthcare system. Controls of the implementation will be introduced from September 15th, 2021.

Additionally, individuals in France will be more often required to prove whether they have been tested, vaccinated, or recovered from COVID-19. These requirements will be implemented, for example, in restaurants, long-distance trains, or cinemas.

Moreover, there will be specific vaccination campaigns for middle school, high school, and college students at the start of the school year.
