Martin Engler Charity Foundation
Martin Engler was born in Grabs (SG), Switzerland and now lives in Geneva. After studying art in Zürich he developed several techniques and exhibited his work throughout Europe, the Americas and Asia using mixed media, oil paintings, collages, bronzes and sculptures. He creates «corporate portraits» for private individuals and companies. Communication through art is born!
His works are snapshots of an emotional journey linking daily life to art through his transparent «life Portraits» that leave enough space for the spectator to construct his/her own interpretation. He discovered in Havana, Cuba the ancient technique of collagraphy and monotypography. He was invited to participate at the 10th Biennial in Cuba.
A documentary was made and shown on television in 2014-15. His work is part of prestigious collections and has been auctioned by Christie’s in 1999.
Swisscare giving back
Swisscare has decided to participate actively by supporting the Cuban Children Art Association. This association is managed by the well recognized international artist Mr. Martin ENGLER. You can read his biography at the top of the charity page. Through paperless international insurance plans especially with the expatline plan, Swisscare donates USD 8 per paperless contract to the association. Also an annual support contribution is donated.
At Swisscare we are convinced that any form of art practiced by young people will help them to see the world differently and allow them to develop self knowledge and the spirit to face life. From painting, street dance to music or any other body or mind expression, young artists will learn about life and how to respect others.
